Spring 2003
Dear Friends:
What a glorious
springtime the Lord has sent to us in Atlanta, Georgia!
Im sure it is just as pretty in your neighborhood. The daffodils and the azaleas have already outdone
themselves. Another Easter will soon be past.
Things have certainly
changed in our world since I last wrote you. Our
nation is at war. I am sure you agree with me
that this must be a time of prayer. Pray
for our young men and women troops, for innocent people who may come in harms way,
and pray for our enemies.
I have continued my
recovery from my bypass surgery last year. I
have most of my energy reserves back. Ive
decided to diet and get back the rest! Perhaps
the greatest blessing is that I feel strong enough to be on the road for the Lord. Ive had several singing dates over the last
few months.
In the last several weeks,
I have suffered one setback. While visiting
with a dear friend in South Georgia, I learned that her son was renovating a house. We drove by to see it and, of course, curious Eva
Mae wanted to see inside. I should have known
those makeshift cinderblock steps werent meant for my unsteady balance. Down came the steps, down I cameand with a
nasty cut on my leg.
It turned out to be a
pretty serious thingbut the wound care specialists have been an answer to prayer. I think Ill be able to be back out singing
within a few weeks. Daddy used to say that
every time he had ever been sick the Lord had healed him.
I thank the Lord for continuing to heal and help me! Ill soon be 86, and I feel so blessed to be
able to do so many things.
Look for me at the Gaither
Homecoming dates and at the Grand Ole Gospel Reunion, as well as at your local churches. You can contact me anytime to talk about booking a
date. I thank each of you who are supporting
my ministry. Your contributions and your
purchases of videos, CDs, cookbooks, etc. are so much appreciated.
I love each and every one
of you! I wish I could hug your neck and
sing you a song right now. I hope to see you
soon in my travels. If not, I hope to see you
on the other side, where we can sing while the ages roll When weve been
there ten thousand years, bright shining as the sun, weve no less days to sing
Gods praise, than when we first begun!
God Bless You!
Eva Mae
